Luc Thériault has been president of the Wood Products business unit at Domtar since August 2024.
Mr. Thériault is a seasoned executive with over 30 years in the forest products industry. He began his career with the organization in 2002 as controller of the Sheldon paper mill and the U.S. recycling division, both located in Houston, Texas. In 2005, he returned to Montréal to serve in a series of successive roles in Finance, including as vice president, Finance, and controller of the company’s newsprint division, followed by a move to the wood products business in 2008 as vice president, Finance – Wood Products, Supply Chain and Information Technology.
In 2012, he was appointed vice president of Information Technology, where his responsibilities included implementation of a new ERP system and change management.
In 2017, Mr. Thériault returned to Wood Products as vice president of Sales and Business Optimization. In 2018, he became division vice president, Wood Products – Sales and Fiber Supply, and in 2019 he was appointed senior vice president,
Wood Products.
Mr. Thériault is a certified public accountant.
He is vice chair of the Board of Directors of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) as well as co-chair representing Eastern Canada of the Canadian Lumber Trade Alliance (CLTA).
