Luc Thériault is Chief Executive Officer, Pulp and Wood Products, and President of Domtar Canada.

Mr. Thériault is an experienced executive who has dedicated more than 30 years of his career to the forest products industry. He joined the company in 2002 as Controller of the Sheldon paper mill and the U.S. recycling division, both located in Houston, Texas. In 2005, he returned to Montreal, where he held several successive roles in finance, including Vice President, Finance, and Controller of the company’s newsprint division. He later transitioned to the wood products sector in 2008 as Vice President, Finance – Wood Products, Supply Chain and Information Technology.

In 2012, he was appointed Vice President, Information Technology, where his responsibilities included the implementation of a new ERP system and change management initiatives.

In 2017, Mr. Thériault returned to the wood products sector as Vice President, Sales and Business Optimization. In 2018, he became Division Vice President, Wood Products – Sales and Fibre Procurement, and in 2019, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Wood Products.

He holds the designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Mr. Thériault serves as Chair of the Board of the Forest Products Association of Canada and as Co-Chair of the Eastern Canada Council of the Canadian Lumber Trade Alliance.
