Steve Henry is CEO, Paper & Packaging and President, USA at Domtar. He is responsible for the company’s paper, and packaging operations, as well as all associated commercial functions.

With more than 30 years of experience in the forest products industry, Steve brings a strong combination of operational expertise and strategic leadership. He has a proven track record of driving performance, building high‑performing teams, and developing and executing long‑term business strategies. Steve joined legacy Domtar in 2011 as General Manager of the Hawesville, Kentucky, paper mill and subsequently held a series of senior leadership roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to Domtar, he held leadership positions at International Paper, Weyerhaeuser, and Georgia‑Pacific. His leadership has been recognized with several industry honors, including TAPPI/PIMA Mill Manager of the Year (2016) and ASPI Customer Executive of the Year (2024).

Most recently, Steve led Domtar’s successful entry into the packaging business, establishing and scaling the organizational and commercial capabilities required to produce and market containerboard with a compelling customer value proposition.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Steve is an experienced board leader. He currently serves as Chairman of the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and has previously served as Chairman of the Paper + Packaging Board (P+PB), Prisma Renewable Composites, LLC, and Kenergy Corp. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
