Robert Melton, Senior Vice President, Commercial – Paper & Packaging, has been with Domtar since 1993.

Mr. Melton is responsible for developing and deploying the go-to-market strategy for the pulp and paper businesses, which includes all elements of sales and marketing. Previously he held the position of SVP Pulp and Paper business.

Over his 33 year career with the company he has held multiple roles in a variety of commercial related positions in the communication and specialty papers segments at Domtar. These business segments have produced approximately $4 billion in sales.

Mr. Melton received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. In 2011, he completed the General Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He also serves as chair of the American Forest and Paper Association, Printing & Writing Committee, he is a board member of the Envelope Manufacturers Association Foundation, and a board member of the Paper & Packaging Board.
