Calhoun Mill

L'usine de Domtar à Calhoun, établie en 1954, produit des serviettes et des produits de papier tissu pour des clients qui comprennent certains des plus grands détaillants du pays. Grâce à l'ajout de l'usine de papier tissu de Calhoun, et en conjonction avec d'autres usines de fabrication de papier tissu et de transformation en Floride et au Maryland, Domtar est en train de bâtir une entreprise de papier tissu intégrée et compétitive desservant le marché nord-américain. Environmental Contributions
  • The Calhoun mill sources wood fiber and maintains chain-of-custody and controlled wood certificates under the standards of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®), the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®). In 2020, the mill’s tissue operation integrated the company’s multisite chain-of-custody certified fiber-tracking system for Domtar’s network of tissue mills.
  • Contributing to the company’s success in reducing absolute direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 87% from 2000 levels, the mill has achieved an 93% reduction in scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions.
Community Investment
  • Mill employees completed 2022 without a single recordable injury, reaching 250,000 consecutive hours without a recordable injury. For every 250,000 injury-free hours, Resolute rewards employees with $5,000 or more to donate to local organizations.
  • The mill sponsors an employee-driven “Goodfellows” program that provides Christmas baskets, coats and toys for needy individuals in the surrounding area.
