Twice a year, the Wyandotte Economic Development Council works with their agency of record, Reactor Design, to spotlight local businesses in a mailer sent to its investors, members, and key officials. This time, they featured Baldinger Bakery, a Kansas City, Kansas powerhouse who famously bakes 500,000 buns a day for Chick-fil-A.
Taking inspiration straight from the source, Reactor created a clever die-cut mailer that unfolded like a chicken sandwich, complete with layers of “lettuce,” “chicken,” and a “top bun”. This order also came with a surprise—a Chick-fil-A gift card hidden under the bun so that recipients could taste Baldinger Bakery’s work firsthand.
Delivered in a full-color printed bubble mailer designed to look like sandwich wrap, Reactor created the entire mailer on Cougar paper because it is “bright, crisp, and uncoated,” giving the food imagery the perfect, authentic feel while remaining budget-friendly.
