Cougar is now FSC-certified!

The premium uncoated printing paper, long-revered for value and performance, Cougar has evolved to be more environmentally-responsible than ever before. Effective January15, 2008, all Cougar product shipped from our Rothschild, WI mill and our nine Regional Replenishment Centers (RRC’s) will be certified to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The official FSC chain-of-custody number will be included on all shipping and billing transaction documents.

The FSC-certification – in addition to the paper’s 10% post-consumer fiber content and SFI-certification – promotes Cougar to the flagship position of Domtar’s EarthChoice® family of papers, the most celebrated line of high-quality, socially- and environmentally-responsible papers. FSC certified and endorsed by Rainforest Alliance, Domtar EarthChoice (and now Cougar)is the responsible paper choice, ensuring users the integrity of chain-of-custody from the forest to the market.

To demonstrate a mutual commitment to conservation, Domtar will make an annual contribution of $275,000 to World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations. Users will find the well-known WWF panda logo on Cougar products and promotional materials in 2008 as a symbol of Domtar’s continuing support… to the environment, to Cougar and to our customers.
