ISO 14001 Certification

Rigorous ISO 14001-certified environmental management systems (EMS) are in place at all our plup and paper mills, except for Windsor which adheres to the Responsible Care® program of Canada’s Chemical Producers Association. In fact, Windsor is the only pulp and paper mill in North America to have met and maintained the rigorous criteria of this program.

The EMS of all of our forestlands in Canada are also certified under ISO 14001. In the U.S., we manage our lands according to the standards of both the FSC and the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI). Our sawmills are subject to rigorous internal audits through the Domtar Environmental Due Diligence System, based on ISO 14001 requirements.
