FSC Certification

We believe that internationally recognized, third-party certification of all our activities is the most effective means to provide our customers with objective assurance that our forests and operations are managed in a responsible and sustainable manner.

FSC certification is the benchmark in environmental sustainability and social responsibility for forest management practices. It is the only forest certification that verifies claims from the forest all the way to the final product through its Chain-of-Custody process. It is also the only standard welcomed and supported by over 85 leading environmental groups, including Rainforest Alliance, World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada) and ForestEthics.

We favour FSC certification primarily because of the inclusive nature of its mandate. What’s more, the FSC operates according to strict principles that closely reflect our own, as outlined in our Forest and Environmental policies.
