Mill Information
Kamloops Chinook is produced utilizing a continuous digester system and Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) bleaching technology.
Description
Kamloops Chinook is manufactured using selected chips from the south central interior of British Columbia. The primary wood species for this grade are White/Engelmann Spruce and Lodgepole Pine. The fiber length and low coarseness results in excellent strength with very good surface uniformity and smoothness.
Applications
Kamloops Chinook is ideal for grades requiring high strength but also excellent formation and surface properties. Ideal applications are coated grades, low basis weights grades, premium tissue and toweling products and various technical specialties.
