The Forest Stewardship Council
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, independent, not-for-profit organization made up of social, environmental, and business concerns. While there are a number of forestry certifications in the marketplace, only the standards set by the FSC are widely endorsed and supported by environmental groups, including Rainforest Alliance, WWF Canada, and ForestEthics.
Ultimately, FSC balances the interests of the forest products industry, governments, environmental organizations, and indigenous peoples. Domtar EarthChoice® has been FSC-certified to meet stringent FSC criteria.
