31 - Q : Will sap run from the wounds?

A : Yes. The wounds are openings through which sap may flow in the spring. However, tissue exposed to air will oxidize, which reduces the sap flow considerably. The longer the time between the injury and the sap running, the less sap will ooze out of the wound.
